Apologies if this 1 has been answered before...

Having had a quick browse on the railcard website, it appears that you cannot get a railcard if you are aged between 26-60, Is this right?

(I live no-where near the south east of England as i know they do a scheme, so that does not help)

If you buy a family railcard, you have to be accompanied by a child:confused: This is complete ludicrous IMO if its true.

Does that mean i would have to pay full price fare? I would be travelling this route once per week on a saturday.

Thanks

The family card bit is true.

Basically no there isn't a card for 26 to 60 if you aren't travelling with a child, aren't disabled. Although the young persons railcard (16 to 25) is available to if you are in full time education, even mature students.

If you are always travelling on Saturdays though you could book well in advance saving you money. Not as cheap as with a railcard, but still a discount to buying their and then prices.
