Just back from holiday

Grown up kids have been looking after my Beagle pup (9 months) whilst I have been away on holiday for two weeks.

I had him in a good routine, i.e. he slept in the kitchen at night and had access to the garden. Now I am back they tell me that they have let him sleep on their beds each night.

Well you can guess the rest, if I now try to put him in the kitchen, he howls and crys until I let him up on my bed - he is very loud and I don't want to disturb the neighbours.

What can I do - he grunts and snores all night!

Explain to the neighbours whats happened and then stick it out for the next few nights?
Maybe buy him a really good toy which he only gets at bedtime, and stick to a routine. We also put ours to bed a while before we go up so although he's in bed, he can still hear us wandering around and it gets gradually darker and quieter around the house, rather than in one go. Back to puppy basics and re-training, I'm afraid....
It will also help if he's far too tired to kick up a fuss, so make the perpertrators of this crime walk him day and night lol
It aint over til I've done singing....
