ps for wipes, you can get a large piece of thin fleece material from a local haberdashery, cut it into squares that fit inside an empty plastic wipes box.

Mix up a solution of cold camomile tea or similar, add a few drops of tea tree oil/aloe vera/whatever. Add some liquid to cloths in tub. Keep bottle in fridge.

Used wipes can go in the washing machine and dry within seconds of coming out of it.

Sermon over. Please don't shoot me down.
I love this idea as I hate wipes, both for the environmental impact and the rubbish they put in them. I will be using old baby grows/vests to make my wipes as I reckon they should do the trick. As should old bibs thinking about it...

Anyhoo, thank you again for this top tip.

    Volorg,
I bought a fleece blanket from ikea for £2 and cut that up to make wipes. I just throw the wipes in with the nappies at each wash. Fleece doesn't fray the way cotton does so 20-30 wipes should easily see a baby through to potty training. I bought another fleece blanket to cut up for nappy liners - saved me a fortune.

3 children and about 75 nappies...

low cost washing machine and nappies on 0% credit from CRNP : around £700

and white flannels from trago as alternative to wet wipes (and gets poo off better).

    bargin!
