  • Maybe your daughter won't approve, but this is a great way of saving money on your iPOD:

Apple sell their returned & refurb products on their website. This refurb store is open only on a wednesday from 10:00am. I have seen great discounts listed here for iPods and if you are early and quick, you can find yourself a good bargain.

    Hope this helps

  • Thanks Lucille, I will have a look at that next Wednesday, sounds great.. :)
  • Being the net-holic that I am, I trawled the internet and found a mini-ipod for £149. Its a clearance shop, and they say that its a brand new one and £149 inc VAT. I can't figure out shipping cost though. ???

But the great thing about this website is that they are selling lot of used iPods and you can get yourself a used one for £79 (5GB and obviously an older model) - If someone wants a ipod desparately and cannot afford it, then this is the site. ;)

The £149 ipod can be found on the 3rd page.

    Hope this helps

  • Thank you Dirk that is much appreciated but still too pricey for me I'm afraid I was hoping no more than around £50 but of course that was before I even realised what they were lol  thanks again maybe it'll be a help to Edin_lass  ;D
Hi Tabunny what about a mp3 player there so much cheaper and you can buy diff sizes i think a 256mb hold about 30 songs (i think) you can get some that are 40 gig!!! thats as much as my hard drive!!! you can get something great for 50 quid!!
Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves!
  • You might have seen my other post - I am looking for a MP3 that is not an iPOD with 20Gb space....

But I am tempted to save my money and buy a 256/512 for under £100....I can't make up my mind either :-/

My teen son wanted an Ipod for his 16th( couple of weeks time) and there was no way I could afford one, so I looked under MP3 players on Ebay.
There are loads of them, I found a 512Mb playerwhich I saw in Dixons at £99(in their sale) for £49+ postage(UK seller). Seems like a good alternative to an ipod... do they really need something that holds over 1,000 songs anyway?
Given my sons history for dropping or losing mobile phones- I opted for a cheaper version!
It looks pretty good. I'd like one now :)
Maybe I should've given him my net mini disk instead and saved all my money!
Might just sell that on ebay to recuperate the MP3 player costs!
    :o:o:o
