Where do I put my house deposit money?

I really need to move this year (yes I know I'm mad!!!). I have decided to rent in my area of choice and wait for the good stuff to come on the market.

The problem is I don't know where to put my deposit while I am waiting. Can anyone recommend a good savings account (instant access up to 30 days notice) that would give a good return over 6 months (I'm hoping I won't be renting for more than that)?

I am looking to put at least £30k aside (this may be more depending on my sale price and how much paying off my other debts may cost)

I wouldn't suggest using your ISA allowance over such a short period of time as once you take the money out you won't be allowed to put it back in later in the year.

Needing access within 30 days also rules of fixed rate savings accounts or regular savings accounts leaving instant access savings account as your best option:
