Virgin money how long before you can reapply?

Options
Hi guys,

I used to have a Virgin money which I have closed in January so how long before I can reapply with them? I would appreciate any replies.

If you closed it in January you should be OK to reapply if my experience is anything to go by.

I closed mine in Oct/Nov last year and re-applied for a new one in Jan this year and was approved no probs.

midnite you mean to say that they let you re-apply within 2-3 months of closing your card? are you sure about it?

Virgin accepts applicants a month or so after closure.

It's advisable to check your credit reports though, to make certain the account is actually closed down and marked "settled" before you re-apply ;)

For exactly the same card Moggles?

And it that based on your recent experience?

    Not me, personally.

A family member was told over the phone recently, she could reapply more or less straight away. Does this conflict with your experience?

I don't have any personal experience Moggles. I've had my card over 3 years, and because of an almost continuous 0%/0.9% (fee-free/capped fee) over that period I haven't had to close and re-apply. :)

Yes I closed about 5 or 6 cards at the back end of last year not too long before xmas. I then started my stoozing activities in Jan this year.

Can't give you exact dates as I dont have my old account history but yes it was something like 2-3 months and it appears Moggles knows of a similar experience.

To get the definite answer I've rang MBNA application department today and the CSA told me that I could re-apply immediately once my card is closed so Moggles and midnite were right. She has also told me that if your application has been declined then you need to wait for at least 6 mos. to make another application which I was already aware of.

So I'm preparing myself for another repeat Virgin application for my other 2 stooze cards that are due in August.;)
