Microsoft Money 2004

I have used this for years and I love it.

The problem is that I have got out the CD to install it on my new computer and I have found that it is scratched or corrupt or something.

I am having a problem with the file EULAreg.cab. It says that it can't find it.

I have run various CD recovery programs on it and they on save about 93% of that file and it is not enough for me to carry on with the installation.

Has anyone got any ideas? It's driven me nuts all week.

Thanks a lot.

I too have this and have used it for about donkeys. I would suggest that you google "repair xxxxx" and add the file name. You never know it might come up with a fix.

Someone may be more switched on than me as to whether it can be done but it might be worth finding out if the copy on your old pc can be transferred over to the new one:confused:

    good luck

ps....a long shot but maybe microsoft can direct you to a copy of the missing file/s

Buy a copy off eBay, they are listed for a few pounds or upgrade to Money 2005.

Make sure it's a UK version, a lot of software sold on eBay.co.uk is USA software, Money for USA will not read a .mny file created with Money UK plus the UK version is tailored to the UK needs.
  • Try GnuCash it's completely free: http://www.gnucash.org/

Just put this into Google search "torrent Money 2004" with out the ""

Then get a torrent program to download a replacement disc, I assume you have any registration keys needed for install.

I think manufactures should provide a download facility, maybe put your registration key in and it lets you download a replacement disc.

And should you get a problem loading up saved data read my other post:

  • But why use software that's almost 5 years old, when you can use GnuCash, released less than 2 months ago? and import your MSMoney files (converted/exported as QIF files) into it?

I like MS Money and I have all my data on there with all my standing orders already on. I also sync it with my Pocket PC so I can run money mobile wherever I am.
