I have Windows Mail installed on my PC (Vista) and outlook has disappeared. When I try to email automatically from a site the following message appears and I am unable to get into the site. I would like to reload Outlook Express but on investigation I understand that Windows Mail has superceded Outlook Express: 'K:\Buffalo\Installers\Office\Office2003\'. Can anyone suggest how I can get round this.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Mail is pretty much identical to OE, isn't it?
What is your default mail program? Could the site have a problem? My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Don't understand this bit "'K:\Buffalo\Installers\Office\Office2003\'". Office has got nothing to do with Outlook Express. Unless you're talking about Outlook which is completely different."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Please bear with me. I use hotmail, yahoo and eclipse for my mail.
Originally when I was on a site (any site) and wanted to send an email to them if I clicked on their address it would automatically open up in OE. Now, however, it searches and a menu box opens with the 'buffalo' message and requesting me to browse. I don't know what to do after this but I am unable to then send emails to the site.
If I can make it any clearer please ask the questions and I will try and answer.
Any help would be appreciated.0 -
At a guess when you click on a link it's trying to open Microsoft Word so you can compose the email message
The Buffalo part suggests that at some point you have (or had) an external hard drive or memory stick as your K drive and it isn't there anymore
I wonder if you've got the wrong program set up in Internet Exploere to deal with new emails.
Open IE, select "tools", then "internet options" then click on the "programs" tab then see what program is being used for emails - if you have Vista you'll need to click on the "set program" button0
