Kuwait Airlines - anyone used them?

Hi there
We are off to New York in November as my husband is running the marathon for charity. We are obviously trying to find cheap flights and have found Kuwait Airlines using a comparison site who come in at £295 for a return including taxes etc - compared to £450 odd with more well known providers.
Has anyone used this airline before? I don't mean to sound sceptical but this trip is very important and I don't want to take any risks!
Many thanks

Yes, I have used them, and they were fine, but dry (no booze!).
However, if it is important, I would not use them to New York as:
1) The flight starts in Kuwait, so more chance of delays.
2) They have 4 flights a week, so any problems, they will stick you on the next flight 2 days later, as opposed to BA say, who would put you on the next flight 30 minutes later. Which could be a problem for you!
Post dates here, and maybe someone can help you get the £450 price down?0 -
Thanks Sam! Good advice!
OK well the dates are depart between 28-30th Oct and need to return on 4th Nov. Have looked at a few comparison sites and all prices seem to be pretty similar. It's for a good cause (RNLI) so any cost reduction would be good! Will start separate thread...

If you do a search for Kuwait Airways in the box at the top of the page it should give you lots of good info from previous posts.0

You can fly to La Guardia with Northwest from LHR for £317 on the 28th. I'd be willing to pay the extra to avoid the bigger airports.Gone ... or have I?0
