distribution funds

i am tied into a couple of dist funds (NU bal Dist & Stan Life Dist) now obviously i could come out of these with a penalty but whats the experienced view - stay in for the longer term or quit while i can?

Normally the distribution funds are a fund option and you have access to the fund range available. In NU's case, the investment bond that has their distribution fund has around 200 funds available on it with free switching.
Whilst I am not a big fan of distribution funds they do tend to have a knack of not being too volatile and relatively consistent in their returns.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
