HI can anyone tell me about the abbey nationals offer of giving 9% in a savings account bond but you have to save the same amount in an investment account? for 3 years they say that the initial money ivested is guaranteed does anyone think that this is a good investment? thanks.

These Abbey products have been discussed at length on this board, the general consensus appears to be that being tied to the low-grade investment product isn't a good idea, as poor performance is likely to significantly reduce the overall return.0

Exactly as Baldur says.
The 9% rate is very attractive, however the attached product is generally regarded as rubbish. Never moreso than in today's shakey economic climate.John
