This year we are taking part in the scottish walk to cure diabetes to raise funds for jdrf, a charity for children who have juvenille diabetes.
The walk will take place on 14th september at aberdeen, length of walk is 5 miles.
My son has had diabetes since he was 2 and has been wanting to do the walk to cure for a bit now and this year we are able to do so:D
Any donations would be lovely

Hi
Just a note to se if anyone would like to sponser us, i have managed to raise a grand total of £0 so far and the walk is getting nearer, it may not seem like much doing a sponsered walk, but it will mean a lot to my son who has wanted to do this walk for a few years now and havent been able to up to now.
This would also be a great opportunity for him to meet other type 1's of his age.
So if anyone could sponser, doesnt have to be much then that would be great.
Link is in the first post, also has anyone got any tips on how to raise money, have put alink on my facebook, my blog and emailed contacts but nothing yet, so any help would be great.
Thanks

try emailing persnally to the people in your facebook, they know more about you and the difference this makes to you and your son, in general, they're much more likely to support you.
All the bestfor more info check out www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk . You'll find me there.

yes, I realise I may appear cold and heartless a lot of the time.0
