fed up with laptop freezing

Hi the last 3 days my laptop has been nothing but a problem it is just freezing all the time. I managed to get onto the internet which hasnt been happening lately so i ran crap cleaner it deleted what it found so i tried again but i can not get to any pages or web sites from my home page it just says loading and then freezes. I take off the battery as thats the only way i can try again. Be very grateful of any help or suggestions Thanks in advance

This wont help Chris but mines exactly the same, keep geting the egg timer and the hand thing, then have to close down and start again, how annoying is it!!!!, its if i try and click on any links as well aaaaaaaaagh!:o
