Expecting first baby - childcare costs don't add up

Thanks flea. I'm only going on the figures the tax credit people gave me so I assume they got something wrong somewhere.
I can cover the bills with my wage, and it looks like my fiancees wage should now take care of childcare and put us in a similar situation to yourself - a few £ take home pay each month. The reason for my original post was I didn't originally think we could cover child care costs, and it was even worse when you factor in baby consumables etc. but I guess it will all come out in the wash - pardon the pun :rolleyes:
To us the slightly more expensive nursery is worth it. A/ because it looks very good and neighbours use it, and B/ it is very practical for us to use. A cheaper one would be negated with petrol and time.0
