I think my laptop has died !!

Hi guys
My laptop was earlier making some odd buzzing noises etc.I turned it off and tried to switch it on again.It will not fully start and will start up woth the vaio logo and then its blank and says no operating system found,whts taht about please can you help?

Sounds like a dead hard drive. If its under warranty, I'd not bother messing about.0
