I bought their absolute platinum hair dye, used it and now my hair is all patchy ranging from yellow to my natural colour of medium blonde! It looks awful! My hair wasn't dyed before I used the product and when I've dyed my hair on previous occasions with other brands of dyes it has always turned out fine. Needless to say I am less than impressed with this product and now I have to figure out a way to fix my hair, any suggestions?

I used to use this colour with no problems.
TBH you take a risk with anything when lightening hair, and any hairdresser would tell you to get it done professionally.
As for what to do with your hair now, you really need to see a hairdresser. Don't risk another colour yourself.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Definitely go to the hairdresser, they like to charge quite a lot for colour correction though.
I've used this colour alot with no problems aswell x0 -
Did you bother to do a patch test to check the result before doing your whole head?0

I also use this brand all the time- being on the darker side of brunette i usually go for the red/purples with no problems. I tried the lightening/brightening red for a change this time and found the result a little patchy, but i figure that's more from my application than the product itself
kinda like it, makes me feel like a tabby cat
btw i never patch test, faaaaaar too lazywhen the first cup of coffee tastes like washing up she knows she's losing it0 -
I did patch test on a small bit of har which was ok but when I did my whole head it went patchy. I can't afford to go to a hair dressers and get them to re-dye my hair its going to have to be a home job.0

I used the free dye that Red Magazine were asking us to test & it made my hair MUCH lighter than I usually make it, so I wasn't happy!
I phoned the careline & they said if I leave my hair for a couple of days to let the natural oils come back, then I can do a full head application again with the correct colour - I'd try that, as it worked with me!
NEVER forget to do the patch test though - sometimes you can have a reaction even if you've been using a product for years & I've seen up close the effects of an allergic reaction - it's not pretty!
Good luck

I'd take a photo of it, call the customer service line, and then explain to them what's happened, and offer to email them the photo. At the very least they should give you a refund, and might even pay for it to be corrected at a hairdresser!!
I went to have mine properly dyed at a hairdresser once as a treat (previously I'd always done it myself), and not only did she managed to ruin the collar of my black jumper with dye, she also ruined the tshirt underneath too!! I was NOT impressed, and what was worse, I only noticed when I got home and took my jumper off. She MUST have seen it when she was styling my hair afterwards, and I can't believe she didn't say anything!!
Anyway, they had to pay for a new jumper and tshirt!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I rang the customer line and the woman was really patronising! She did tell me how to fix my hair which I have now done (I'm chesnut now lol) but she was treating me as if I was thick. I have dyed my hair lots of times before and often dye friends hair which all come out fine until I used live color pfft, anyway at least I no longer look a state0
