we have had ants all through the winter, for some reason and last month found 30 of them in my bed, nearly died of a heart attack, i have such an aversion to them. i have about 3 nests under the house in different places and have managed to eradicate 2 of them with nippon ant bait it actually kills them off and the nest and am working on the last nest now, it takes about 2 weeks of continous baiting to get rid of them but does work.hope this might help.

you should have seen me i was like a woman posessed, oh at work and darling son 5 thought his mother had gone mad...i was hovering them all up, then put powder down and square inch of the room, and would not sleep back in my bed for 2 days till i was sure they would not come back in the bed. I had nightmares for days after thinking they were crawling all over me at night.
i am sorry but just hate ants so much

Lol .... neighbour suggested stuff called Nipon..
You put little bits on a tin lid where you see the Ants..
They come along eat the stuff and take it back to the queen, she eats it and dies... Im going to buy some when i go out shopping... No more Ants in my dishwasher!Comping & Coupons!0 -
Yes Nippon is good and thats what i have been using to bait them downstairs, just make sure you change the bait everyday, and do it for at least 14 days even though you think they are gone keep doing it for the 14 days and should work...dementedhousewife wrote: »Lol .... neighbour suggested stuff called Nipon..

We've been finding little black beetles around the house - never had this problem in all the 20 years we've lived here. Finding one or two every few days. Anyone know what to use to get rid of them or do I need to call in the experts?0

here I go again :rotfl: Are they beetles or vine weevils which are like beetles these little blighters come in from your garden they love to eat your begonias I bought two begonias some years ago and vine weevils invaded my house had to treat garden to get rid of them
Spiders hate citrus so use lemon scented cleaners
Anything with more than four legs gives me the creeps I hate and crawlies and my dyson eats spiders on a daily basis :rotfl:0 -
We had million of ants a couple of summers ago, and it turns out the pointing on the house needed doing and they were getting in through the gaps!
Moral of the story - check yer pointing!
Failing that, those ant trap 'thingies' (I think that's the technical term!) are really quite good.
They get lured in by the sweet smell & then... BAM!!
Happy ant-hunting!The Rock Chick, she say 'courtesy costs nowt' - spread the word!
