I've won.................

..............the chance to share my house with 500 ants!!! Came in from footie with eldest ankle biter only to find the 500 (OH reckons I'm exaggerating ) squatters camped out in the kitchen. So a hasty trip to B&Q and (apologies for all you animal lovers out there) two bottle of powder and a bottle of spray later and the little blighters are having second thoughts now.

lol iv got them to. had them before and got rid but now they are back. went on holiday and came back to them courtesy of my 2 year old dropping jam in a secret place. got rid of that lot and they moved to back door, got rid of them they moved to the cupboards. then they moved to under the stairs and today invaded the front door. got ant powder all over the house wich isnt good when noah is running round but i need to get rid they are so annoying. feel so itchy all the time. and i dont even know what their purpose is except to annoy people. gggrrrrrrr hopefully will have a ant free day tomorrow.

hope you mange to evict the little blighters to
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed

Funnily enough my MIL phoned earlier and said she'd just been reading take a break and someone had wrote in to say the very same thing!!! I'm off out tomorrow to buy me some mint.

Do you think the little blighters would mind if I used the stuff from a jar - we have plenty of this in the house for Sunday dinner!!! LOL:rotfl:

At least I can laugh now - wasn't the case at 7pm.....thanks Josie!

Update - The powder has done the trick outside (and also killed a hundred woodlice which invaded the garden since taking delivery of a new shed!). We woke up this morning and inspected the kitchen and we've only found one squatter up to now.:T

Fingers crossed this is the last we see of them. Feel a little guilty now especially when eldest DS said we'd killed Flick (please refer to Disney's "Bugs Life"). Poor little things - they were probably just looking for the circus...................:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

something like this perhaps ????? Hate Spiders as well. Why don't these little blighters find their own house instead of invading everyone else's?

 congrats on getting rid of them. I prefer spiders any day to ants. Thanks for the mint tip - got plenty of dried mint and will try sprinkling it everywhere in the house next time I see an ant - safer than the powder!
