Me again.
This time a question about modems.
I currently have a sky wireless modem and sky broadband.
If i change to talktalk broadband, can i use the same wireless modem or do i have to spend the £30 to get thier version of the modem that they supply?

I am a computer idiot.
Is this illegal or just a bit naughty?:p
If it is illegal i'll probably just sell it. If i sold it, would it retain any information that went through the computer?:money: Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to everyone who has helped.0 -
Not illegal, but they might ask for it back if you cancel, not sure. Whats wrong with sky?
It won't retain any info apart from your username, there is a reset button to put it back to defaults.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
cost cutting excercise. To be honest, i have loved sky and sky plus since i got it but the baby is costing a fortune in nipple cream and nappies:money: Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to everyone who has helped.0

It wont work unless you flash the router to enable it to work.
I'm sure talktalk give them out for free though, its a talktalk branded one too.
No it wont retain any info, there isnt any thing to retain.
Here's a tip, open internet explorer, and type in this address:
192.168.0.1 (no www or http://)
User is admin and password is sky - I would think very carefully before you go changing any settings in there!!!! But you'll see just what the router holds by way of info - nothing! Oh and by the way.... all sky routers (sagem and netgear) use the same ip (192.168.0.1) and your supplier gives you your other one randomly and it changes all the time. Some times all you need to get along is nothing at all.0
