Ok so i couldnt find my answer in the "Printer and File Sharing thread", so here i ask...
I have 3 computers (1 desktop, 2 laptops - connected via wireless) connected to a NETGEAR DG834G Router.
What i want to do is connect my Canon Pixma MP460 so that all of them can share this printer and print off it.
If i get one of these will it be compatible with all and will i be able to do what i want to do.
Also will the desktop need to be switched on if i wish to use the printer to print from a laptop.
Thanks

Your desktop wouldn't need to be switched on.
Not sure about the first part though - it probably supports 90% of printers.0 -
If you are ok with switching the desktop on when you want to print then there's no need to buy any more hardware.
All you have to do is share your printer on your home network, switch on the pc then you can print from anything connected to your network.0 -
Well i dont actually want to have to switch the PC on, whenever i want to print. Sorry should have said that.
Will try and find out if its compatible.
Thanks!0 -
In that case, i'm sure it will be fine, check out the manuals here:
