Tesco milk?

Is anyone else noticing it going off awfully fast lately? This is the second bottle in a row I've had go off within two days of opening and well before the sell-by date - this particular bottle isn't due up until the 15th.
Problem seems to be just with whole milk - semi-skimmed is fine - and they've both been four pinters. Different stores though - the first was Billingham, the second Rowlands Gill, but they're fairly close so I would guess share a supplier.
They took the first bottle back no problem. I just called the helpline about the second to warn them they might have issues and they said there'd been nothing reported and just to take the bottle back for refund/replacement (I think this time I might just take the cash and buy milk from somewhere where it lasts a bit longer!)

We had a problem like this last year and it turned out to be our fridge which just wasn't getting cold enough. It may be worth getting the temparature checked.0

we also had this problem - which conincidentally happened only in the warmer months. some suggestions - which i do now
- try and get the most coldest bottle when buying ie further back in the fridge.
- use a cool bag when bringing dairies home especially now outside and inside room temperatures are higher.
- use a milk jug, glass or ceramic, and only pour out milk that you will use for family or morning -especially if it has to be left out for a while. this is so that the rest of the milk which may be unused can be put straight back in the fridge and doesn't get exposed to fluctuations in temperature.
- and as i don't have time to buy small amounts of milk everyday - i buy what i need and freeze the bottles. i take out a bottle the day before i need it. btw - the 1pts defrost quickly and the 2pt and 4pts i leave out overnight or day before at room temp or defrost in the fridge. oh and they turn a funny yellow colour when frozen - nothing to worry about though.
- or as previous post says - to decrease temp of fridge if you can control it. ie make it colder!0 -
We get through alot of Tesco milk and not had a problem, a 4 pinter usually lasts 2-3 days and it always tastes fresh, maybe its your fridge or the stores fridge or maybe its sat outside and not put in the chiller quick enough upon delivery
If you have a Iceland nearby then maybe try there milk its from the same supplier (as well as Sainsburys) if its fine then it could be there way its stored, you can tell where its from because of the code printed on the front "TCO10" is the supplier code on the Iceland, Sainsburys & Tesco around here, it may vary across the uk im not sure0
