paypal and ebay always list the fee rates but here is a link to them if this helps.

These are the calculations I use for excel:-
(substitute the cell for the written values)
I have not been bothered to do a calculation for all items as most of mine finish over £29.99 and below the next level so I have kept my calculations simple. I am sure someone on here can give you the exact calculations.
FVF Calculations
Sold for less than £29.99:- =(price received*0.0525)
Sold for greater than £29.99:- =(29.99*0.0525)+((price received-29.99)*0.0325)
Paypal Calculation
=((Price Received + P&P Charge)*0.034)+0.35
My column headings in Excel are:-
Date 1/10/05
Item Description Mona Lisa
Cost of Item £100
VAT on item £17.50
P+P to me £ 5.00
Total Cost £122.50 (£100+17.5+5)
Sale Price £200.00
P+P Charge £10.00
Listing Fees £2.21
FVF £7.10
PayPal Fees £7.00
P+P Charge £6.95
Amount Received £186.74 (£200+£10-2.21-7.10-7.00-6.95)
Profit £64.24 (£186.74 - £122.50)
% Profit 52.44% (£64.24/£122.50)%
Fees % 8.2% (£2.21+7.10+7.00/200)%
This is a slightly simplified version as I also have forex calculations for foreign sales. I keep meaning to spend some time and building a better worksheet but this does for now.0 -
