British Airways Sale, no price reduction.

Hi,
we booked return flights to Vancouver from the B A sale, we went through the sale link to get the prices. Having looked at the site today to see what the tickets have increased to, i see they are the same price.
We booked on the last day of the sale so we could benefit from the lower prices, as the replacemant card on the CC account we wanted to use had not yet arrived, we had to book using our interest free on Btransfers card,, incurring interest charges, and of course meaning that by the time we have paid off the flights, we will be out of the inerest free period for the balance we already had on it We have not yet booked hotels, or ski passes etc,,
Surely they cant advertise something as a 'sale' if it remains the sale price after the sale period? Do we have any fall back with this?
Any help is gratefully received,
Ems x
(I posted this on the vent board but have had no response,, hoping some one here can advise me

BA prices rise and fall with demand and time. Could be double tomorrow or less than you paid.
I fly return with BA every two weeks and my flight prices vary between £89 return and £350. and that's all for the same 45 minute DOMESTIC flight!!!!
One thing's for sure, the BA price WILL have been higher before the sale, so you really haven't got any comeback.
There's nothing to stop them selling the flight for less than you paid in the sale.
Another example: I've just booked flights with Thomsons which I watched drop in price gradually over a week or two, took my chance at what I thought was the lowest price and sure enough, they rose by 29% today.
If you really wanted good value for money for your flights to Vancouver, you should probably have avoided BA altogether. Lufthansa, Zoom and Thomas Cook all do good prices to Vancouver, although having done the Lufthansa one, I wouldn't recommend them in particular.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Thanks
We were just pretty irked that we had put it onto this particular card, and stayed up late t make sure we got it in with the sale prices,,
we flew with lufthansa a few years back, the flight was fine, but during the 'movie' they just stuffed all the snacks in the isle and told us to help ourselves lol!!
Thanks again, Ems0 -
As you've booked a long haul with BA, visit their website and join their Executive Club.
Your tickets will earn between 1700 and about 9000 BA Miles per ticket, depending on what class ticket you bought.
12000 miles will get you a free European return ticket.
Tesco Club Card points can be exchanged at 600 BA Miles for £2.50 Clubcard as well!
So....A European return flight with BA could cost you £50 in Clubcard Vouchers.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
