Website that doesnt deliver

Options
Ok here is the scenario, im going japan and the weather is quite bad there so i decided to buy some hats to keep warm. I go to this website called www.urbanexcess.com and ordered the hats i like. I then specify royal mail next day delivery since i dont have time to to hang around.

I get an email confirmation saying it has been shipped. All is well and good, however the next day nothing arrives, so i figure maybe they posted after 5pm, but the day after that nothing comes again. So by now im !!!!ed, ive waited two days in the house for nothing. So i go to the website and click the help and contact section but nothing is underneath the tab so in my mind this starts to look suspicious.

So now im wondering what to do, i dont want to take legal action because i dont have the time and i only spent £60 there on the other hand though if they have accepted my payment they should deliver and i dont think its right that they have zero accountability since i cant contact them. Any ideas?

Sorry hun I can't help but I did stifle a giggle at this paragraph-

Ok after making a legal threat they phone me up re-confirming my order, so i think finally, but just a few seconds later i get an email saying this:

We've been contacted by our Merchant Payment Portal and asked to put a hold on your order(s).

Due to the high value and frequency of the orders made an automatic block has been issued on the distribution of these products.

These embargoes usually take between 5 - 7 days to rectify.

If you are contacted by your card issuer during this time, please ensure that you update us with the status of the card and your account.

    All the very best,

Can someone tell me what the hell this means? I really dont trust these people now.

    Luffy,

Slightly off topic however - whereabouts in Japan are you going?

I'm currently living in Osaka and summer has well and truely arrived - its really hot today with 85% humidity!

Im way late in replying to pink but i left for japan the next day. Anyway im back from japan. My group mainly stayed in tokyo since travelling is so expensive and yes it was summer of a sort when i went. It was hot and humid and humidity creates rain, so hats were still needed lol but unfortunately i couldnt get it in time so i got a umbrella in japan which is a must accesory in Japan. Good luck in osaka
