F1 at the Odeon Cinema.

Firstly, apologies if this is the wrong place for this post - careful consideration was given.

Has anybody experienced the "F1 in Cinema" thing?

I have seen it advertised in the the Odeon booklet and as an F1 fan I fancy giving it a go at some point but at £15 a ticket I thought I'd see if there is any feedback.

Apparently it is in 5.1 surround sound but is there any commentary?

Anyone care to comment please?

i'd love to know this too, as i would really like to go see one.. sheffield is my nearest, but it might be a good laugh!

I'd never heard of this before your post Spookmeister! It's a great idea but in my humble opinion it's overpriced, that price would need to reduce by half to get me interested and I am an F1 fan too

Be interested to read comments from anyone who's experienced it though.

I've heard about it but not being.

Is a programme included in the cost?

Reviews I heard were very postive and were over at the ITV F1 forums

is it an itv1 presentation? does that mean adverts? and james allen making mistakes all the time.... ?

I saw the advert on the odeon website and think its a HD feed so it will not be ITV or at least the pictures won't be.

I've not been either, don't think my local does it and £15 is not MSE in any shape or form.

Well BenL - you're probably right but surely if you think of it in the vein of "Do I go to Silverstone to watch the race or go to the cinema" you have to say that you would be making a saving! That's how I'm trying to justify the cost!

I saw your post and thought you obviously didn't read my post did you - but then I realised that yesterday I had trouble posting anything so when I eventually could post something it became a fraction of the size it originally was.

I don't believe this is ITV at all which is why I'm unclear about the commentary. I think it's because it isn't television that FOA Ltd can broadcast the footage in to the big screen. What I forgot to say was that they state that there are no adverts and no interuptions during the race.
