Pipex - offered a strange "upgrade"

Signed up for Broadband with Pipex a few years ago. Chose them, as they were the only ones doing unlimited usage. Took basic package which was £15 for 250kbps.
A year or so ago, was called and offered an upgrade (for same price) to Up to 8Mbps as that's what all their packages were now on. Agreed, on the understanding that I would keep my unlimited usage. (Made very sure of that before I finally agreed.)
An agent called me today. He described what I'm on now and said they'd like to offer me (for the same money) an upgrade to Up to 8MBps with a monthly limit of 10GB.
Me: But I'm currently on unlimited usage.
Him: Yes, but none of our new packages offer unlimited usage.
Me: So, why would I choose that new package, if I would lose my unlimited usage.
Him: Well, it's just a courtesy call, sir.
Me: Goodbye.
Has anyone else been offered an upgrade to a lower service ?
Guess you've got to be on the ball ...:rotfl:

I have sky and the offer we got included the sports, which we don't watch. they rang to see "is everything all perfect" and I mentioned that we didn't watch the sport, thinking perhaps we would be offered somthing else, but no, they offered to take away the sport, put me on a different sky package, for only £5 per month more.
