Pc Healthcheck from PC World

Hello
Just a wonder, my pc is near a year old now and when we bought it we purchased three years cover which included a health check once a year. Has anyone had any experience of this with pc world, like how long they keep the pc for and is it worth it?

Thanks

They usually take about 1day, It usually involves a HDD test Chipset test
and a general allround test, it is ok if you know absolutely nowt
and are willing to be told theres something wrong and you need that
    all impoprtant upgrade.

So its a no fro me, but its your decision.
  • If you have paid for it, I guess you should use it. Check that the cover covers any parts they may magic up as needing replacing, as previously said if they know you know not alot about computers, they may try and cash in.

  • Ask for the health check and just to get a report of what needs doing if they claim work needs doing.

Come back here and let us know what they recommend and we'll be able to let you know if it does need doing and if they're asking a fair price.

They have been known to wipe hard drives during this "Health Check" so if you decide to go through with it, I would make sure you have everything important backed up first.
