Browntoa.
Something very odd is happening here today, Browntoa!.
We've got Dave H saying how great 4cheaps is and on another thread on this very forum page where someone has posted they've been ripped off by 4cheaps, our Dave has told them not to worry about it and to take it like a man!.
Definately sounds like Dave H is either on a commission or just overly loyal to 4cheaps whilst dumbing down the competition.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
It isn't a one off mate, this is what they do.
Of course if people want to carry on ordering from them then feel free but I really would suggest not to.
Dave H - And yet there is a BandCD thread on this very forum page saying how great BangCD are.......from people regsitered for much longer than yourself.
To all forumites, I'd recommend that you make purchases from reputable retailers you have used before or have been recommended to you by more than one person, or more than one person with 4 posts to there name.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Good points :Cheap
Bad points :Slow, no respose to emails, phony phone number
General comments :This lot are well dodgy. They don't reply to emails, they take ages to deliver, if at all and the phone number on the site is fake. Avoid despite the cheapness of its products.
I am simply a frequent customer of 4cheapcds, if that makes me "loyal" then so be it.
From what I know of them they are only a relatively small company so it does seem a bit harsh to hear all these negative things about them, as I have shopped with them numerous times and had no trouble I am simply "standing up for them"
Commenst in the review above are just generalisations, I mean "the phone number on their site is fake" is simply not true, there is no phone number on their site so how is it fake??
The bottom line is they are one of the cheapest around, it really does my head in when people pay dirt cheap prices and then complain because it hasn't arrived within 24 hours. They are cheap, is that not all that it's important? I think you will find to the majority of people that is the most important thing.
If there was a comment on hmv's poor delivery then that would be a fair comment what with the size of the company.0 -

Odd I ordered from them and had no problems, cd took slightly longer than a normal, 5-6 days it was I think.0

Got slightly worried when I found this thread a few days ago - I pre-ordered a CD from 4cheapcds at the weekend and for a few days after the CD was released (last Monday) the order was still showing as "pending". Plus, the price of the CD had gone up from £6.99 to £8.99 when the CD went on release.
But, yesterday I came home to find a shiny new (and genuine) CD in my letter box, so I'm very happy. Not sure if I'd use them again, having read the other posts, but maybe for stuff that isn't urgent and at a good price I'd give them another go.0 -

Yeah, this has happened to me too mate but to be fair they probably just got the stock a little later than expected, they don't claim to deliver for the release date so there's very little argument you could have against them.
As for you not wanting to use them again due to what other people have said, who cares what they say??? You have had first hand experience of the company which doesn't sound negative from your post, you can't base a decision on where to buy from from negative comments from other people who have had problems. I have read numerous bad reviews about Play but if I see something I want on there at a good price I would still order from them.
If any company was that dodgy they would not still be around would they?0 -
I've bought a cd from 4cheapcds before and it was fine - genuine cd no difference to the normal uk issue.
recently bought cds from bangcd (one of their buy several & get a free cd offers)- all cds were legit but one turned out to be a US edition and the free cd was from the Phillipines & marked not to be sold in the EU."And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0 -

That is what they do, they also sell non-eu presses which should NOT be sold on a website to the public.0
