Argos - zero customer service

Options
I've had enough of being ignored by shop assistants! This morning I went to argos to buy a blind for the bathroom, paid for it, went to the collection point and waited..... and waited.... my number was called, great...... waited.... waited..... after ten minutes I could see my blind on the conveyor thing, brilliant....... waited...... shop assistant picked up my blind..... and put it back down. Finally, after 10 people had been served in front of me, I asked what was going on, I'd been there 20 minutes, I could see my item - SA says sorry, I can't do anything about that!!!!! That did it, I said stuff the blind, I'll have my money back. While I was stood at the desk for refunds the same woman brought the blind out and asked if it was mine, did I want it, well no, I'm not backing down, keep it!

I'll never set foot in Argos again, they just don't care. In all that time my receipt wasn't looked at, in fact I was never acknowledged even when I was the only person stood at the counter.

Thanks for letting me vent! I feel better already.

I agree ,the times ive purchased from there ive left feeling frustrated with their service. I make a point now of standing right at the counter and the minute i see my item come from the back i wave my ticket around like some kind of madman.Ive never been ,but it kind of feels like bingo in there to me.Except you can only win what you have allready paid for, lol.

As for shopping there in the run up to christmas , forget about it.

know what you mean, number of times I've been in a shop and double check myself as feel I've turned invisible

should have jumped over the counter and helped yourself :)

I normally just say 'Excuse me - do you work here?' to anyone standing behind the till and chatting or messing about instead of serving me. I don't employ this tactic with people who are obviuosly involved in another task, but when someone stands there not doing anything it generally does the trick!

When my stuff comes down the belt I am with the "waving ticket like a madman brigade and pointing at the item shouting THAT'S MINE".

Why did you wait for 10 people to be served if you could see your item?
Argos are notoriously short staffed and you need to get yourself noticed or they will carry on serving.

    The bingo method works best.

Stand at the counter, then when you see your item arrive, wave your ticket frantically, declare loudly (and excitedly) that your item has arrived ("OOhhhh, there's my ironing board!!), and perhaps even make the staff nervous that you might do something crazy, so they serve you quickly...
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
