Post Office new 2 in 1 CC

Hi

I picked up a leaflet today from my local Post Office about a new Credit Card they have. I also havealready read Martins views "Post Office Revolutionary New Credit Card is OK, but not great"

It works 2 ways, the leaflet says, 'on the one hand its a great value credit card' and 'on the other hand its like a loan'.

The offer gives 6.8 % (variable) on selected purchases from £500 to £2000 up to the value of £2000.

14.9 % APR (typical variable).

0 % pa on things you buy for 6 monhs, then 14.9 % APR (variable).

0 % on a balance you transfer for 6 months then 14.9 % APR (variable).

Basically having given these facts is it a good card to appyly for or are there better deals - if so what are they and who with?

As its a new launch (as I have not heared of the Post Office doing a credit card previously) is it risky and should I wait a while and see how they manage themselves or is it ok to apply and expect a smooth ride and good customer services?

I only hope they have a better reputation for their credit cards than their mail services!

Thanks

Heddwen
