Nationwide Branch Address

Hi all,
Just wondering if you can help? I have opened a new Flex Account with Nationwide. I'm registering for work with a recruitment agency and just filling in the forms they've sent me. They want my bank details and name and address of bank. Now I opened the account online, and branch code on my visa debit card is 0572, does this ring a bell with anyone? Or should I just put the address which is on my cheque book down on the form? This is a Swindon address.
Thanks

Hi,
If the chequebook relates to the same account then the address printed on the cheques will be your branch address.
You can double check here http://www.nationwide.co.uk/default.htm top right hand side is the branch finder.

I would use the address on the cheque book.0

Nationwide give all FlexAccounts the same sort code (07-01-16 for debit card, 07-44-56 for cash card), regardless of which branch they were opened in.
These are the addresses for those sort codes:
07-00-30
NATIONWIDE BUILDING SOCIETY
Princes Street
SN38 1NW
07-44-56
NATIONWIDE BUILDING SOCIETY
Station Road
SN38 1NW
For a BACS payment, the address isn't actually required (just the sort code and account number).0 -
Thanks everyone, will use the address on the cheque book.

It is easy to get confused with the two codes used by Nationwide. Every branch has a 4 digit branch code. Brucy Bonus has explained how their 6 digit sort codes are allocated to the various account/card types.0 -
Sorry to drag this thread up, but I was wondering if someone could answer my question.
On my FlexAccount (with cash card), the address at the top right of the statement is the branch where it was opened. I've just opened another FlexAccount online and was accepted for a debit card. Could anyone who opened their FlexAccount online tell me what address shows in the top right corner of their statements.
Thanks

If you opened your account online, the branch address is their HQ:
Nationwide Building Society
Electra House
Swindon
SN1 5TY
(This is branch code 0572).0 -
Does the branch actually have any influence on how your account is operated? E.g. I use my local branch for everything, even though my official branch code is the 0572 one because I opened my account online. If there is no difference, why bother allocating branch codes in the first place?0
