Where is the 4.85% rate on Cahoot Instant Access Savings?

Hi there,

I cannot find for the life of me where this 4.85% rate is for instant access savings? It is on Martin's comparison table. Does it apply only to larger balances?
Thanks

Nina

I think they changed their rates with effect from today.........

They now offer a "bonus savings account" which pays 3.93%AER for the first 14.999, then 4.93%AER up to 100K (interest paid annually, but I believe calculated daily)

    Not anymore, it isn't.........

They only show the 'bonus savings account' rates now, and when you click on 'see previous rates', all you see are the rates until 23 August 2005, and the prior 'introductory rates'. Not a beep about 4.85% (or may be I am going blind, which is possible given my age ;) - or they have updated their site again since I looked just now)

EDITED: see also other thread on this subject

This is what is on the page I linked to above!

  • I found that the old 4.85% rate isn't visible unless you are logged in. It may also be that it is only visible if you are both logged in AND have a relevant account.

I never logged in and the info is there.

These are the rates if you log in and are for accs opened between June 2004 & Sept 2004.

    Savings rates for introductory rate accounts available between 24 June 2004 and 1 September 2004 Account balance AER/Gross p.a. Up to £49,999 5.30% £50,000 to £249,999 4.80% £250,000 + 4.30%

The question was about the 4.85% rate - and this is, as of right now, not visible on the page you mention. I think charlieboycat is correct, if you do have an existing account at that rate, you can see the 4.85% when logged in. But it looks as if people can now only apply for the "bonus savings account" (which has less than 4.85% AER, even if you have £100K in it - I think it's something like 4.78% AER)
