Anyone considering investing in land?
Our longer term plan IS to buy agricultural land, but as a home/agricultural and equestrian enterprise, not arable land (where the money is now) or as investment other than for our 'rural enterprise' which is unlikely to make our fotune.
If you buy agricultural land without planning to farm it yourself you need to have plans in place with how you are going to lease it out etc. Leaving it unused is not a good idea at all!!! Personally I think you MIGHT be buying at a peak ATM and that there MIGHT be a short term dip in value depending on harvests and agricultural policy.0 -
Thanks for your comments lostinrates.
Anyone else out there considering buying brownfield site land? Is there much available?!0 -
I'd give it six months to a year - buy land when the big housebuilding companies are declaring bankruptcy. They'll be flogging off their landbanks, nobody will be buying, it'll be practically free.Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!0
