The fact that they are a 'Director' means nothing unless they really are on the board, which I think is highly unlikely. Director is a job title given to middle mangers at Investment Banks. You could be working in Human resources or Building services and have that title. Other Investment Banks use the status 'Vice President' for this level of management. It really does over glamorize the positions and the titles are often given out when bonus are cut to appease the staff!
What I am saying is that what you have been given is no better than a pub tip. It feels authentic because the person works in a given industry; however he/she could have no exposure to investment knowledge and is just regurgitating a hot tip.0 -
Tell her to plead poverty to him, lay on the water-works and beg for the money. He'll probably earn more in a month than the amount she's just lost.0
