WIRELESS to NON WIRELESS connection?

Hi, Can anybody help me please, my daughter is living and working in a pub and is also doing part time university. She has had to get herself a laptop, and has got herself a Pentium M which she will be able to use in the university as they offer free wireless internet, but in the pub the landlord who she is obviously friends with, has said she can use their broadband internet connection which is not wireless.
She could use a lead into their router possibly but that is not really what she wants. When she is studying she want to do it in her room with quiet and privacy. I know her room is in range for wireless of the landlord's PC, but how would anybody suggest she does this wirelessly? Does she need to go to the expense of buying her landlord a wireless modem or can it be done any other way, maybe cheaper that will not lose her any speed etc?
Any help would be really appreciated.

Hmmm, I think the cheapest option would be for her to buy a wireless access point to plug into the router. Something like a Netgear WG602 would do the job and is about £40.0

Edit to add - Just been hunting round and most of the cheaper wireless bridges/adapters only support 128 bit WEP encryption. All generally seem to be in the region £40 - £50.
A better bet if you're willing to pay a bit extra is the Lynksys WET54G bridge. It has the far superior WPA-PSK encryption and PoE.
The advantage of PoE (Power over Ethernet) is that the unit doesn't need to be plugged in to the landlord's electricity supply, so he won't need to object that it's costing him extra.
The WET54G is available from Ebuyer for £60.

The device its plugged into may not support power over ethernet, and I am not sure how well a bridge solution will work in this case. Admit never tried a bridge into a switch or router to share a net connection.0

Agree, a wireless access point is the purest solution, however for about the same price I would buy a wireless router (to plug into the landlord's router) as most of these can function as an access point and include the usual router things like NAT, firewall and filtering, e.g. something like this wireless router.0 -
Yeah I think Chippy has the right idea. To add to his suggestion I'd recommend the KCorp KLG-575. It's very well reviewed, and is on PC Pro's A-List. I've got one at home, couldn't fault it. And it's only £43.
