Got an interview for a job I really want - it's actually less money, and I'd probably have to give up my part time job (as it's in the same place), but I reckon being happier at work (I currently HATE my job) will encourage me to stop spending money on snacks (when I'm bored) and wine (when I'm stressed)!

Well done on the job front, you probably will spend less money when you get out of the job you hate as you'll feel less need for comfort. I recently left a job that i had grown to hate to the extent where i spent my weekends just dreading monday coming round. Really hope you get it, best of luck:beer:

  • Hi everyone,

Not such a good DFW day today so I'm hoping that if I post on this thread regularly I will have to hold myself responsible for my spending!!!!

    But today I have:
    - cycled to work so I didn't pay travel
    - bought fish for the oven to have for dinner to use up the salad stuff in the fridge that wasn't going to last much longer
    - bought stardrops from sainsbury's (can't get it in tesco's) to see what the fuss is about!
    - done surveys
    - updated quicken and spreadsheets and sat and looked at the charts for a bit!!!

    But I also
    - got suckered by the magazine rack and bought 2 for myself when I was supposed to be only buying 2 for work (have a patient that I feel sorry for, I'm really a softie, but don't tell them that!!)
    - bought lunch at work, although our canteen is actually quite cheap

    So tonight I will
    - meal plan for the next week
    - do online tesco order
    - try to get some competition entries in

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable evening!

Well, unfortunately for me, my new job hasn't worked out much better!! Not got to the point where i am dreading each new day, but will be glad when in six weeks time i am no longer working there. I work in a mainstream school but no one talks to me and none of the staff have even bothered to introduce themselves to me.

There is a job out there for all of us and i hope you find one that you like Candy and don't put up with being unhappy. I've always said i won't stay in a job i'm unhappy with. I figure you get one shot at life so lets not spend it miserable:D

OOh yes, please post the recepie for banana bread Cleosmum, that way i may learn what to do with my bananas that always go off and i may actually be able to bake something else!:o

Evening all (nearly morning! )

Just finished packing for my holiday to the US tomorrow and I'm shattered!

A few of my dfw things for today:
    • Left bus pass for sister to use
    • Brought my new bus pass for when I return to work
    • Topped up with petrol (incase more price increases whilst I am away) at Shell for £1.139 and not £1.169 at BP/Tesco
    • Packaged up 1 Ebay item which my mum will post for me next week
    • Left sister cheque which she will bank for me
    • Transferred money from paypal a/c into my bank a/c
    • Did a few piggy clicks during my lunch
    • Wrote out my fathers day card for my dad
    • AT WORK printed off a two pictures of fathers day present for DH (to put into card) rather than carry it all the way to the US
    • Charged mobile at work
    • Took a couple of photos for Ebay listing
I'll try to log on whilst I am on holiday if I'm not too tired and have an internet connection.
