Hi All
Has anyone any experience of dealing with the Julian Hodge Bank? I have been to their web site and although they are a very young bank (1987) they are currently offering a 6.5% AER Fixed Rate ISA and are also part of the Financial Service Compensation scheme (35K). Overall, looks like a good deal to me!
Any comment much appreciated

I have my TOISA with them for quite a few years now (if that is what it is still called). No problem, one statement per year, but then few transactions!0

I've had several FRISAs with them since 1996, whenever their rates have been competitive, currently one at 6.5% since last October - their customer service is excellent, in my experience.
<Edit> the only potential 'gotcha' with their FRISAs is on maturity, when there is only a 14-day window of opportunity for penalty-free transfer to a different ISA manager or negotiating a new fixed-rate deal, otherwise the funds are subject to their standard Cash ISA Ts & Cs, which require a 3-month notice period (from memory) for transfers or withdrawals.0 -
Thanks cepheus and Baldur - looks like a good deal and I will probably go with them. Just one more question - I think that their web site said that they were independent - this presumably means that they are not part of a larger financial group like HBOS?0

Just for the record, TOISAs automatically became redesignated as simple Cash ISAs as part of the ISA changes introduced wef 6th April 2008.
