I think my tv is dying

My jmb tv out of the blue started behaving funny.The picture is not occupying the whole screen.Vertically along the edges the images are not occupying the whole screen.

I have played with picture settings but i am still in no luck.

CRT TV or LCD/Plasma TV?
If its widescreen and you have a 4*3 source then you will see this unless you have it set to wide/smart/panorama depending on what the set calls them.
If its a CRT then there may be a problem with the line output and its probably not worth repairing.

Is it still under warranty? When did you get it? The manufacturers may still fix it for you, or give you a replacement.

Just read correctly if its a CRT then theres no point really these so cheap nowadays it hardly worth doing anything with them

I got it from a neighbour who was moving house 5years ago.I don't think it is still under warranty.I 'll check if the manufacturers can fix it for me free or cheaply.
