Security Toolbar 7.1 Trojan Virus

My pc seems to have acquired this nasty trojan which is playing havoc with myIE7. Keep getting pop ups selling anti virus and other anti-malware. Also have lost my IE homepage, keep getting cannot display page.
Can anyone suggest a quick and easy way to get rid of this virus without reformatting the hard drive?

which virus/spyware scanner do you have, if any?

try a system restore, under help.

start, help, system restore,

select a date before the problem started

also, in ie/tools/internet options/advanced, uncheck 3rd party addons.

I think it may be a pig to remove, but try the scan, see what it finds, and post back the details
