Free Parking

Hello all, not sure if I'm doing the right thing but here goes anyway.

I've created an E-Petition http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/encouragesharing/ that is basically asking for safe and secure parking areas to be created at each motorway junction, to enable people to car share if they want too.

If you can jump in with a friend, you save money.....there you see I'm in Money saving tips!

How many major junctions are there? 100s'? I don't know. But imagine a 100 cars parked up at each one. How many cars would that take of the road every day?

Pls sign, you may never need to use one, but taking cars off the roads is no bad thing. Money saving.....Environment saving! Pls help.

Thank you

Andy

The tax payer no doubt, but wouldn't you rather have them spend money on a good idea that has results, than say a war in a far off land that we don't really know why we are fighting.

If you understand politics, then you would understand why we are fighting. Not my fault (or the governments) that you don't understand.

Sorry, don't see why we should fund people to decrease their fuel costs (which is what this is really about).

If you don't like the effect of driving on the environment, catch the bus.

Sorry for getting politcal, what I should have said the money could come from the millions earned each day from fuel duty. Now nobody can argue with that!

So what do you think happens to this money already?

I think you'll find the money is already allocated to healthcare, education etc.

A plan to reduce the use of fuel, to be financed by income from fuel, doesn't really make sense?

Calm down please, lets start again. What I'm proposing will help cut traffic, pollution, save money, help the environment. Whats the problem with that?

I'm not asking for billions of pounds in investment. A scrappy peice of land near a motorway, stick a bit of hardcore down, ask the police to drive by a bit more often to keep an eye on it. Whats that going to cost?

What you are proposing will, without a doubt, cost millions.

    Who pays for all this?

A complete stranger by the sounds of it! :o

Maybe Andy is proposing that everybody who wishes to use the scheme can have a free CRB check?
