I make them up by mixing bird seed, sultanas/raisins and sometimes finely chopped up peanuts (so little birds dont choke :eek: ) and then pour over the fat from the roast Ive had in the cooker......mix it all together and then put it into a cleaned out yogurt pot....leave to set - can put it in the fridge if want to sped it up.....and then when its properly set I cut it out of the yogurt pot and put it into one of those bags the onions/garlic/oranges come in...hang it in the tree and hey presto -word gets out lol and the feathered friends have a party in the tree down the back
Great idea, i never thought about making my own! Could you make them for us and we'll buy them lol!!!
Does anyone know what the difference is between suet and fat? Sometimes i see them advertised as fat balls, other times suet balls - am i being really thick?
