is it possible to convert leasehold into freehold !! example im worried my friend who seems bent on getting a brand new house is not thinking abuot the long term and she will get a leasehold for 99 years odd rather than pay an extra 100,000 odd and get a freehold or something.
so i was just wondering is there any legal stuff that she could do to convert a leasehold into a freehold or something ??!!!
thanks alot

Also search the threads or check back a few pages on these forums you'll find quite a lot of discussion about leasehold extensions & purchase.
Not quite sure why freehold would cost a £100k more but a lot of developers do seem to favour leasehold on new builds, so if she wants a new house she might not have a lot of choice.0
