Anyone applied for the Abbey Zero Card?

I applied for the Abbey Zero card 8 days ago. I have what I thought to be a good credit rating. I still havent heard from Abbey so i phoned them today and they said my application is with the underwriters and they cant tell me if my application has been successful or not over the phone, but if i call back in 2 days they should be able to tell me then. Is this usual practice or does it sound like i've been refused? Can anyone help please?

    I can't remember when I applied but it didn't take very long for it to come through. I got my pin through today, posted a signed thingy back to them end of last week. Maybe they just have a bit of a backlog? :confused:
