Help - dishwasher seems to be stuck on drain cycle

Hello I have got a bosch built in dishwasher when you open the door the control pad is on the top of the bit you pull down. I used it this afternoon seemed fine but I've just gone to put it on again and it sounds as though it is trying to drain even though the cycle ended OK this afternoon. It is making a glug glug sound. I wondered if it was blocked but put pan fulls of water in it which it readily drained but then started doing the noise again. Can anyone help at all please - I know it's late but I can't face taking it all out tonight to wash by hand and I am at work first thing in the morning. Thanks

I've rung the repair man who used to mend my old free-standing dishwasher but they apparently won't touch integrated machines. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether I should try some more local repairers or bite the bullet and contact Bosch - I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for call-outs but want a proper job done. Maybe extended warranties aren't such a bad idea after all but you can bet whatever is the matter with it wouldn't have been covered anyway!0

Had this problem some time ago with a dishwasher. My problem was a small amount of water caught in the botton tray under the machine. There was a sensor and if it detected water here it sent the machine on to permanent pump out mode. The water came from a very small leak in a hose joint.0

Canucklehead's recommendation is good but you need to register and post your question on the relevant forum on the site. Then someone in the trade will give you an answer.
I've saved a lot of money by posting a couple of queries there. Now I wouldn't even consider buying a whitegood or getting in a repair person without going there for advice first!0 -
Hi there...
Well if your dishwasher is like my AEG, from time to time mine misbehaves and it's like one of the previous posters said.... Water in the 'anti-flood' tray under the machine. Unplug the machine. Then you'll probably need to remove the plinth from below the door, then there may be a panel that comes off under the door if you are lucky. Get an old towel and 'poke it over the top' and down towards the floor and it will hopefully mop up the water that's there. You may need to do this a few times. Now to address what caused the problem... This could be all manner of things... With my machine it's usually when I've been on holiday and stuff grows on the filter and blocks it! Running it on a 60 degree cycle instead of the economy 50 from time to time seems to help... It could, however, be something else... Loose hose, perished seal and if it is you'll have to get the maching out (which involves a great amount of swearing!)
Good luck!0
