photocopy them, enlarging them if necessary, and then use these as your template.
other things to consider:
an apron, to stop him getting messy paint down his best clothes (which will inevitably be a swine to get out)
toxin free/ child friendly paint/ pens/crayons etc.
fingerpaints/glitterglue
a nice box for storing empty loo rolls/ cereal packets, egg boxes, yoghurt pots (for modelling)
a big sheet to cover the floor so you dont have to worry about him making a mess
thats all i can think of for know, shall get back to you if i think of any more
:T :rotfl: GLITTER GLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :T
And just remember, things like bubble wrap and tin foil make some pretty cool textures as do pasta shapes (just don't eat them as they give you a sore tummy!)
And finger painting never goes out of fashion, as does marbling (paint and a lot of marbles) or stencilling with a potato!

I've emailed staples to see if they do any really thick card to make shapes out of as I've not found any thicker than greeting cards in the other stationers. Fingers crossed!
But all the other wonderful ideas are going to keep us going for years to come! He's been getting more and more into it over the last few weeks and now almost every day he asks for 'pat pat'. (He likes to make his hand prints - pat pat on the paper.) And we've been collecting leaves and things on our travels.
My husband has even taken down the snaps of our holiday in Greece (from before we were parents) and put our son's paintings in the frames instead!
This seems to be a good time of year for all these things. He's enjoying the leaves changing colour and keeps shouting out 'blue tree!' because he knows they're not green any more!
Thanks everyone. I'm doing some hunting around for things today, so I'll report back soon with what I end up doing for him!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
