Transport from Funchal Airport on a public holiday

We arrive in Funchal airport on the evening of a public holiday and need to get to our hotel in Funchal.
It looks as though we will have missed the last Aerobus and public bus. I think that taxis charge extra on public holidays. Our hotel has suggested that they book a taxi for us at a cost of 35Euros.
Does anyone know if this is the best deal or would be able to get a lower cost from an airport taxi?
Any advice appreciated.
