i believe there's a grant so it might be actual money rather than fees paid for you... but you gotta agree to work for nhs

  • you get a bursary and the nhs pay your fees. there are other things you can claim for too-child care ruduced council tax ect. look at nhscarees.co.uk for more info.

hi, i am a student nurse, doing the diploma he
i think degree student sget a bursary, but it is less than the diploma students get ( i think)
i get £485pm bursry from nhs and they pay all my fees
i am really enjoying the course..ok so its only 2nd week and im sure i will be screaming in a few weeks when the work starts piling up! i am doing child branch.

i would say go for it!!!
  • There is no bursary for students who enrol on the full degree course, students can apply for the usual student loan though and I think the course fees are paid.
Students studying for the diploma in nursing receive a non means tested bursary of approx £5500 per year and there are no course fees to pay.
This is an extract from http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/nursing/courses/prereg/diploma/index.php
    BSc (Hons) option

Students who wish to progress to the BSc (Hons) option will need to achieve satisfactory results in their first 2 years of the course. The third year will then focus on the BSc course. The non-means tested bursary will not be available for this third year if undertaking the degree, although all course fees will be paid and students can apply for a means-tested bursary.
So it is possible to come away with a degree at the end of your three years with a much smaller financial burden.
If you are set on applying for a degree level course you need to apply through http://www.ucas.com/ , or via http://www.nmas.ac.uk/ for the diploma courses.
