How best to save £1000 per month

My husband and I would like to save £1000 per month. We have already used our tax allowance for ISA this year so that is not an option. We need access to the money if required but want a decent interest rate of the accrued savings. Any ideas of good rates out there or any other ideas of how we should invest the money. We must be able to access if need be. Thanks

Hi,
Take a look at this link. I was pointed to it yesterday.
http://www.moneyfacts.co.uk/savings/bestbuys/default.aspx
Then select "internet savings accounts", or "no notice savings accounts", or "regular savings accounts" etc., and it will list the best offers available at the moment.
Seems the "Birmingham Midshires e-Saver Issue 2" might suit your needs.
Best post a question to others on this forum first, though, to see how other people find the service provided by whichever institution you choose. Also, visit the institution's own website and check the small print.
