Free £10.00 voucher at B&Q

When shopping in B&Q ask about their store card id it is not offered to you at the checkout. Once you receive the card all you have to do is spend £1.00 or more on it and settle it and they will send you a £10.00 voucher.

I am using my new card tomorrow for something cheap that I want and will post again once voucher has arrived. The added bonus is that their staff get a commission payment for signing you up.

  • Hi, this sounds interesting. Is it a credit card - not sure what it is exactly?

    its a store card
  • which entails a credit check I suppose?
  • Yes it is a store card and yes it involves a credit check at the store. It can't be very throrugh though as the card arrived very quickly.
I bought my item that I needed for just over a pound yesterday and talked to the guy on the till. If they get three sign ups each day then they go home an hour early.
I will post again as soon as voucher arrives.

I got one of these cards last year but never got the £10. I cut it up and sent it back to them with a snotty note.

As far as I've been led to believe, the £10 is taken Off the balance when you spend on the card.

I've not heard of them sending any vouchers

My husband got one of these last year when we were doing alot of decorating. He has just told me that they add the voucher to the bottom of your first statement. The catch is that you can only use the voucher with your card. You cant use it with a cash purchase.

    Hope that helps clarify things.

Thanks for posting. I've moved the thread over to the Credit Card board, as there is a thread over here specifically about the freebies given out with credit cards. :)
