European breakdown cover
Hi,
I think I saw a thread some time ago regarding european breakdown cover but I cant seem to find it now, would someone be so kind to give me some ideas of companies that sell/provide european car breakdown cover as we are going to Ireland for 2weeks soon and would like some cover just in case
thanks
Jim

You could check with the AA/RAC, or other breakdown services, I'm sure most, if not all, would be willing to quote. I've used RAC, which I suppose is not the cheapest. Cost about £65 for two weeks in Europe with a 12yr old car, as it was at the time. Seems a lot perhaps, but think of the alternative....!!

I used Insurance Choice, something like £75 for European cover for a year.

Looking into this myself at the moment and noticed that Brittania Rescue include republic of Ireland cover in their standard policy, just incase you were with them anyway and maybe other companies do the same?
Eurorescue quote £32 - £42 for 2 weeks in Ireland. Referred to this company by Autoaid but don't know anything about them. Does anyone have any feedback?Jan 2013 GC 0/250
